Wrangler Rugged Wear®, the clothing brand that is “Geared for the Outdoors,” and an industry leader in clothing continues their support of the World Walleye Association for the 2013 season.

“Wrangler Rugged Wear is in their third season as sponsor for our Team of the Year”, says Theresa Meade, co-owner of the series. “Having Wrangler Rugged Wear on board once again for this season is exciting news for the anglers fishing the Illinois and Wisconsin events. Our teams look forward to competing to become the “Wrangler Rugged Wear Team of the Year” with fantastic prizes awarded to both competitors” says Meade.

Wrangler Rugged Wear is a perfect fit for the rough conditions walleye fishermen face on a daily basis.  Garments with the Wrangler Rugged Wear label are designed for function, comfort and durability and are sold through specialty retailers to anglers and other outdoor enthusiasts. The current line includes a collection of shirts, jackets, pants and thermal jeans, including the well-known Angler Pant with tool pockets and a “kill switch loop” to attach the engine cutoff lanyard on high speed outboards.

The World Walleye Associations 2013 season will feature two tournament series. Five qualifying tournaments are being scheduled for each of the two series (Fox Chain, Illinois and Winnebago system, Wisconsin).  Additional series will be added each year. The schedules for the two series will be officially announced in the very near future.
