The newest National Professional Anglers Association venture into the world of social media has begun.  It’s called “NPAA RadioBLAST,” and it makes NPAA members the stars in a radio-interview format.  It’s aired on the NPAA.net website, where listeners can tune into the shows anytime.

Host, veteran outdoor broadcaster Thomas Allen, said, “These are conversations that take place between passionate people.  Mix some education with some entertainment, and the goal is to get to know anglers personally.”  He added, “We can also reach the next generation of our sport.”

Allen will be talking with new and veteran NPAA Members and Supporting Partners.  The initial interview features Joe Okada, a bright young star in the walleye fishing arena.  “Like all interviews, it’s important to know and understand each person, that’s why each NPAA RadioBLAST will be unique,” he said.  There will be approximately two shows aired monthly, each about 12 minutes in length.

To book an interview, Allen can be reached at [email protected].  He felt that this programming will further the sport of competitive angling and the heritage of the sport.  The NPAA RadioBLAST is housed on the NPAA website home page with links currently found on The Next Bite and Outdoors First sites. Additional links will be available in the future on other NPAA Supporting Partner websites.
