NPAA Members Bill Van Ornum #801, Spencer Deutz #552,  Zach Axtman #512,  Adam Neu #125,  and Craig Huss #262 Hosted a Future Angler Event on Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh, WI, which was held immediately following the day 1 weigh ins at the Masters Walleye Circuit Tournament in Oshkosh, WI. Many kids and their parents showed up to be educated about angling and talk with the pro anglers. To kick off the event on the main stage, Bill Van Ornum and Spencer Deutz covered all the basics about open and closed faced fishing combos, safety, and the AIS message “clean drain dry”. The kids also had a chance to practice there casting ability by casting at back yard bass.

Each youth went home with a fishing combo and NPAA Future Angler Shirt, which was donated by the NPAA and Future Angler Foundation.  For more information about the NPAA and the Future Angler Events go to the NPAA website at www.npaa.net.
