NPAA member Greg Karch #138 and RJ Harwood #756 held a Family Fishing Clinic at High Cliff State Park in Sherwood, Wisconsin.  The day started out with Greg and RJ working on the families fishing equipment, making sure the fishing combos were in good working order and that they had a hook, sinker and bobber.

Greg then presented his ‘Fishing Basics’ seminar which reviewed fishing safety, open and closed spinning combos, setting the hook, casting, knots, fish identification, bait, catch and release.   Greg added a few new topics to his seminar such as; how to fillet a fish and up and close fish identification.  Next, the families went fishing from shore on lake Winnebago where  fish were caught.  After the fishing, Greg and Diane Schauer talked about the AIS message of ‘Clean, Drain and Dry’.

The event ended with each youth receiving a tackle package and door prize.  The parents even had a chance for a door prizes such as; Navionics new Navionics+, Plano tackle boxes, Shakespeare Fishing combo’s and more!!!!
