NPAA members Steve Evert #257, Mike Knippenberg #444, and Scott Geitgey #730 hosted a Future Angler event at the Masters Walleye Circuit event at Spring Valley Illinois. Tournament anglers John and Michael Kopcok, Jake Huth, and Jay Gullet also participated in the event. Steve’s seminar included life jacket safety, on the water safety, casting, knots, bait and connecting to family through time on the water. The AIS message of Clean, Drain, and Dry was sent out by all participating members as well as Dan Palmer of The Walleye Federation at the event.

A lucky and adorable little girl named Ella Sandor was drawn in a bike raffle during the event, provided by Spring Valley Bank. Upon speaking with Ella and her father Adam after the event he said “that she will be much happier about it after a nap.”

Each of the attending forty youth’s received a Future Angler shirt and fishing combo which was provided by the NPAA and the Future Angler Foundation.  Shirts were autographed by anglers when requested and a picture was taken of the group.
