NPAA member Greg Karch #138 introduced over two thousand kids to fishing through his Fishing Education Booth at Farm Technology Days in Barron, Wisconsin.  In Greg’s Fishing Education Booth, youths were taught about fish identification, knots, ‘Clean Drain Dry’ message, and casting.  Lake Karch was built so kids could practice casting and catching fish even though they were plastic fish(Backyard Bass).   Greg made two appearances on the 4H Youth Stage where he presented his ‘Fishing Basics’ seminar which reviewed boat safety, open and closed spinning combos, setting the hook, casting, knots, fish identification, bait, catch and release, and the ‘Clean Drain Dry’ message.

Greg said ‘ This event  allowed me to work with many new anglers and to help grow this great sport of fishing!!!’.

Greg would like to thank all the 4H volunteers from Barron County that helped in his booth and his sponsors: Dave’s Musky Club, Shakespeare, Berkley, Plano, Mercury, Triton Boats, The Boat Doc, Off Shore Tackle Company, Northland Tackle, TTI Blakemore Fishing Group, Navionics, NPAA, Future Angler Foundation,  Maui Jim, Big Eye Custom Lures and The Reel Shot.
