MotorGuide Trolling Motors Newest Supporting Partner of NPAA

Becoming a partner with NPAA is a natural for MotorGuide, said marketing manager Dave Walsh, “Especially with our rich heritage as a top trolling motor choice for tournament anglers.” 

Industry support of the National Professional Anglers Association continues to grow.
NPAA executive director Pat Neu pointed with pride to yet another new supporting partner and said, “Working closely with so many fine companies and their dedicated professionals shows that the goals of this organization are resonating among fishing tackle and marine companies.  With their long-time backing of pro anglers and major tournament circuits, it’s great to have MotorGuide on board.”

MotorGuide offers a full complement of transom and bow mount and pontoon electric trolling motors, with 57 freshwater and 16 saltwater models.  The company also markets on-board battery chargers.  Dave said, “MotorGuide builds motors engineered for anglers.”  All motors, hand or foot control and wireless, have 2-year limited warranties.

He also reflected on history and said, “Pro fishermen have always been very important to us; they rely on our products.  In the same way car companies use pro racing series as a proving ground for consumer product development, we’re committed to engineering what they need, knowing that this technology will be useful to our customers.”  He wanted to describe the 2013 launch of two major new trolling motors, but said, “The coming announcement of these new products will follow the tradition of high-quality, easy-to-use motors that can withstand the rigors of the tournament trails.  In a way, it will be the re-birth of MotorGuide.”

Dave wears two marketing manager hats.  He also holds that position with Attwood Marine, the predominant provider of marine parts and accessories.  Both companies’ manufacturing facilities are located in Lowell, Michigan, and are divisions of Mercury Marine.
