Even though adverse conditions were predicted, the weather cooperated and the weekend turned out wonderful for Moose Fest’s  “Fishing with a Pro” event held in Menasha, Wisconsin over Mother’s Day weekend.

NPAA members #292 Kirt Hedquist, #811Jim Pyle,#132 Terry Frey and #255 Robert Blosser spent Saturday and Sunday taking kids out on the water to reel in some fish.  Many of the kids already possessed honed fishing skills, while others have never been in a boat nor had the pleasure to experience our cherished sport.

Each kid was taken out for an one and a half hour excursion with a pro in his tournament boat to catch panfish.  With each pro decked out in their tournament attire, they took the helm and whisked the kids away for an experience of a lifetime.  When the children returned to the docks, the enthusiastic and grateful parents were greeted with smiles and great stories they are sure to repeat for years to come.
