New York Mills, Minn. (January 20, 201) – If Gary Roach knows fishing, Lund knows fishing boats. It’s a simple set of facts that has propelled both Roach and Lund to sacred status with fisherman nationwide. Today, Roach is simply known as “Mr. Walleye;” while, Lund is widely regarded as “The Original Fishing Boat Company.” Now, over 60 years since Lund engineered its first boat, the brain trust at Lund has notched another major win. Meet the new Lund Impact.

Lund’s all NEW Impact

A long-standing tradition at Lund has been to listen closely to the insights, ideas and needs of its fishing-focused customers, as well as legendary veterans such as ‘Mr. Walleye,’ Scott Glorvigen, Tom Neustrom, and Al Lindner. Clearly, the reason more fish cross the gunwales of Lunds more than any other boat is no accident. Smooth fishing vessels like the new Impact first spring to life on the design floor when Lund’s renowned think-tank enters its first major brainstorm. The anglers imagine, suggest, propose. The engineers listen, evaluate, and formulate.

The culmination of this meticulous boat-building process, the new Impact is already being lauded as perhaps the most fisherman-friendly, feature loaded, value added boat yet in Lund history. Impact is 100 percent Lund quality through-and-through- that’s a given. What anglers might not expect is the Impact’s digestible pricetag, comfortably priced under $20,000.
“When people see the new Lund Impact in the showroom and on the water, they’re pretty surprised they can get this much boat for such an affordable price,” says Lund Product Manager Rory Wiebe. “We’ve engineered these machines with a lot of angler-friendly features. Impacts are built with Lund’s IPS hull design for a smooth and very dry ride. IPS puts the hull very quickly on plane, stabilizes it while cornering, and gives the boat more lift in the water so passengers stay high and dry. The Impact is just a really versatile, full-featured boat that we’ve engineered to handle a wide range of uses. We think anglers are going to love this boat.”

Tricked-out to the max for a minimum outlay of cash, Impact offers ample comfort, storage and that Lund intangible that can only be called “fishability.” Impacts all feature swimming pool sized bow and aft aerated livewells, lockable in-deck and dual side rod storage, and cavernous amounts of bow storage. Lund’s SportTrakā„¢ System allows for ultra-customization, securing rod holders, cup holders, electronics and other accessories without drilling holes. The patented ProTrakā„¢ Boat Covering System features a custom cover and special adjustable snaps that provide the ultimate weather-tight fit. And with optional aft flip-up seating, you can even extend your rear casting deck by precious square feet. To fully sweeten the pot, Lund’s “Spring Catch” program provides up to $750 in additional rebates.

The all new 1775 Lund Impact is available with custom side console/windshield (SS) or full windshield (Sport) model. At 17-feet, 9-inches with an ample 94-inch beam, the 1775 Impact will greatly improve your time on the water without denting your wallet. Impact is also offered in the larger 1875 and economical 1675 models.
