NPAA member Nancy Koep # 323 did a Kids Fishing Clinic in conjunction with the Koep’s Walleye Challenge sponsored by Warrioir Boats and Marthaler Chevrolet on Saturday September 8th.   After the weigh in on Saturday, Nancy conducted a kids fishing clinic with 25 kids in attendance.

Nancy discussed many things with the kids, including showing them different styles of fishing poles and how they work, what you need in your basic tackle box, the best type of lurefor the type of fish you are after, Invasive Species and their impact,  how to rig up your own slip bobber and showed pictures of different type of Minnesota fish.

There were also two CO Officers on hand to talk to the kids about boat safety and the importance of wearing your life jacket.  After the Clinic all the kids were able to walk away with a new Fishing Pole, Bobbers, NPAA t-shirts, and a booklet on fishing.

They all had smiles on their faces when they got their fishing poles and had lots of questions and story’s for us. Scott Ludwig # 632, Jeff Otis # 621 and Jim Peters #106 were the other NPAA members that were on hand to help out at the clinic.
