The spring bite is on.  Devils Lake has been fishing really well so far for our guides.  We are finding water temperature hanging around the mid fifties this week.  A lot of nice walleyes getting caught with most of the fish coming out of four to seven feet of water.  Most of the fish are getting caught with slip bobbers and leeches.  We are also starting to pick up fish by casting crankbaits and soft plastics like Mimic Minnows. Shallow protected bays with warmer water temps have been the ticket.

We are getting into full gear now and have a great summer ahead of us so we are looking forward to seeing many of you.  We do have some opening in the schedule so if you are planning on experiencing Devils Lake’s finest fishing, contact our office at 701-662-6560.  Follow the action on our Facebook page for Mitchell’s Guide Service, big fish are getting posted daily!  We offer some great packages through Woodland Resort with a awesome new menu and lunch plan.  We also have packages through Lakeview Lodge and also have a special room rate available at the Sleep Inn which is Devils Lake’s newest hotel property.
