For the second straight year, Jamie Robinson NPAA member #387 has won the Northern Ontario Walleye Trail’s (NOWT) Angler of the Year title.

The NOWT had 878 anglers participate this past summer in the 6 events spread throughout Northern Ontario.  These included the Mattagami First Nation Walleye Tournament, Dubreuilville Father’s Day Walleye Tournament, Geraldton Walleye Classic, Sault Ste Marie Kiwanis Invitational Walleye Tournament, Kapuskasing River Walleye Tournament and the Sagamok Fall Walleye Classic.

To calculate the Angler of the Year, the NOWT ranked anglers by their top three tournament finishes.
Once again Jamie and tournament partner Terry Bernath finished tied for first with their top 3 results including a 1st at Mattagami First Nation Walleye Tournament, 2nd at the Sagamok Fall Walleye Classic and 2nd at the Kapuskasing River Walleye Tournament.  To decide the tie breaker, the one tournament they did not fish together the Geraldton Walleye Classic had to be used where Robinson placed 24th and Bernath placed 25th.

Jamie would like to thank his family and supporters including MirroCraft Boats, Northern Lights Ford, Buck’s Marina, Evinrude, Yakima Bait Company, Fin-tech, Minn Kota, Humminbird, Cannon and Simms Fishing.
