Forestville, WI-Bait Rigs tackle co-owners Joe and Tony Puccio, well known in the tournament fishing world, became the latest company to join forces with the National Professional Anglers Association.

With a wide assortment of rigs and jigs, Tony Puccio said, “We have always respected the anglers who make up NPAA.  They’re opinion leaders, and we see growth for our company via word of mouth as they spread the news about their successes with our products.”  Bait Rigs will offer a very attractive “members-only” program.

Brand names for their jigs include Slow Poke (1/64 to 1/4), Odd Ball (1/16 to 5/8) and Cobra for muskies and pike with Cobra panfish sizes for slip bobbers and ice fishing.  They produce very attractive musky and pike Viper inline bucktails and spinnerbaits.  Their six and eight inch shad and grub tails are popular plastics that match well with Cobra jigs.  All jigs except the metallic flavors have glow-paint.  “Charge them and they glow much longer,” Puccio said.

Also popular are their hand-tied musky and pike fluorocarbon and wire leaders.  They offer Astro-Brite spinner blades and Walleye Willow spoons and Panfish Willow spoons.  The Willow spoons are ultralight blades with a proprietary arc to make them flutter under slip bobbers.  All lures are made in the United States, except for the hooks.

Tony Puccio has fished professionally in walleye and musky tournaments, qualifying for many Championships and placing high in events like the Merc National and the former PWT tour.  NPAA executive director Pat Neu said, “Bait Rigs is a company that has grown because of guides and tournament anglers which makes their affiliation with NPAA a perfect decision.”

The Puccio team has an open line and requests product input, innovative ideas, and photos for the website, baitrigs.com.  They can be reached at 800-236-7441 or [email protected].
