The walleye tournament scene on the Lake Winnebago System just got alot more exciting this year.

In its second year of existance, The Boat Doc Walleye Invitationals will now be run by the Bago Walleye Club (BWC). “This non-profit club is formed by fisherman, run by fisherman, and most important for the fisherman” added president of the BWC, Sean Freund NPAA #295 . “Our board members have been quite busy the last four months organizing this event and encourage every angler to join and participate in our series.” The Boat Doc Walleye Invitationals are a series of four, one day walleye tournaments on the entire Lake Winnebago System. All series events will be held out of Menomonie Park in Oshkosh,Wisconsin. The field is limited to the first 65 teams that sign up one week prior to the official tournament date. The dates for the Boat Doc Invitationals are as follows, May 13, June 3, July 8, and July 29. If you ever fished the Lake Winnebago System, you can bet this is a prime time for big walleyes! Entry fee is only $150 per tournament plus $20 per participant for membership dues. With over a 96% payout of cash and prizes per tournament, this is sure to be the hottest walleye circuit of the season. There also will be an added “Team of the Year” title handed out to the team that earns the most points when fishing all four events. Many prizes have been donated to the series from a vast growing sponsorship group. “Without the support of all of our sponsors and the NPAA, we would not be as successful in putting together our walleye tournament series” said Freund . The BWC would like to thank the NPAA for its involvement in the series and acknowledge each and every supporting partner we have.
