Plymouth, WI – August 28, 2009 – Anglers Insight Marketing LLC™ (AIM) announces that ten anglers will be joining the field of competitors at the Lake Winnibigosh Championship based on their record in AIM “Sanctioned Series” walleye tournaments.

In order to support walleye tournament angling at the “grass roots” level, AIM developed the “Sanctioned Series” concept. This program allowed the numerous smaller, regional tournaments to increase the excitement in their events by offering a special season-ending bonus – an invitation to the “Team of the Year” to compete in the AIM International Walleye Championship™.

Prior to the start of the 2009 tournament season, dozens of regional tournaments in the United Sates and Canada were invited to participate as an AIM Sanctioned Series. Twenty eight tournament organizations agreed to become AIM Sanctioned Series. The tournaments promoted the opportunity to their competitors, and their logos were identified on the aim website: www.aimfishing.com.

These Sanctioned Series reported their “Teams of the Year” prior to the registration deadline for the AIM Championship. The anglers were then invited to compete alongside the AIM Pro Anglers that qualified through the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournaments. Ultimately, ten anglers have accepted these invitations and will be in attendance at Lake Winnibigosh. Anglers were given the option of registering as a Pro Angler or Co-angler.

The anglers competing based on their Sanctioned Series qualifications are:

Mickey Stuefen, Pro Angler from the Walleye Anglers Trail, Iowa

Carl Holten, Pro Angler from the Walleye Anglers Trail, Iowa

Terry Bernath, Pro Angler from the Northern Ontario Professional Walleye Trail

Don McLeod, Pro Angler from the Northern Ontario Professional Walleye Trail

Chris Kindraka, Pro Angler from the Saskatchewan Walleye Trail

Andrew Klopak, Pro Angler from the Lac du Bonnett Walleye Classic, Manitoba

Andy Blumenschein, Co-angler from the Western Ohio Walleye Circuit

Gary Levan, Co-angler from the Western Ohio Walleye Circuit

Ryan Wright, Co-angler from the Walleye Searchers of Minnesota series

Domenick Goodman, Co-angler from the Walleye Searchers of Minnesota series

Anglers Insight Marketing welcomes these competitors to the AIM International Walleye Championship™.  One additional incentive provided to these competitors is the opportunity to qualify for the Bay Mills Invitational Tournament™ in June 2010. The intention is to repeat and expand this new Sanctioned Series program for the 2010 season. AIM recognizes its opportunity to stimulate the excitement in tournament angling and introduce new competitors to the sport.
