Plymouth, WI – May 13, 2010:

Cash Pools will be administered by AIM at each Pro Walleye Series™ event. Pro Anglers participation is optional, and entrants will compete ONLY against the other Pro’s in the Pool. Entry will be $500 per event, and each entry will include a $100 entry in the Big Fish Pool, a $100 entry in the Big Basket pool, and a $300 entry in the Super Cash Pool.

In addition, South Dakota Tourism has sponsored an additional $1,000 award as part of their marketing partnership  with AIM that will be paid to the Cash Pool entrant that weighs the single largest basket at each event.. The South Dakota “Great Places, Great Faces” promotion is working with the AIM Pro Anglers in tourism marketing. This $1000 bonus per event will be added over and above the Pro Angler entries.

The Big Fish Pool and Big Basket Pools are split between Day One and Day Two of each event. The Super Cash Pool is paid to participants following Day Three.

Below are 3 examples of what the Super Cash Pools will pay based on the number of entrants:

At 15 participants – the $8,500 Pool ($7,500 in entries plus the $1,000 SD Tourism bonus) will be divided as follows:
•    $1,500 to each of the THREE top finishers in the Super Cash Pool on Day Three.
•    $375 to the Big Fish winner, $225 to the second place entrant, and $150 to third place on BOTH Day One and Day Two.
•    $375 to the Big Basket winner, $225 to the second place entrant, and $150 to third place on BOTH Day One and Day Two.
•    $1,000 SD Tourism Big Basket bonus to the entrant with the single largest basket over the three days of each event.
At 30 participants – the $16,000 Pool ($15,000 in entries plus the $1,000 SD Tourism bonus) will be divided as follows:
•    $1,500 to each of the SIX top finishers in the Super Cash Pool on Day Three.
•    $750 to the Big Fish winner, $450 to the second place entrant, and $300 to third place on BOTH Day One and Day Two.
•    $750 to the Big Basket winner, $450 to the second place entrant, and $300 to third place on BOTH Day One and Day Two.
•    $1,000 SD Tourism Big Basket bonus to the entrant with the single largest basket over the three days of each event.
At 40 participants – the $21,000 Pool ($20,000 in entries plus the $1,000 SD Tourism bonus) will be divided as follows:
•    $1,500 to each of the EIGHT top entrants in the Super Cash Pool on Day Three.
•    $1,000 to the Big Fish winner, $600 to the second place entrant, and $400 to third place on BOTH Day One and Day Two.
•    $1,000 to the Big Basket winner, $600 to the second place entrant, and $400 to third place on BOTH Day One and Day Two.
•    $1,000 SD Tourism Big Basket bonus to the entrant with the single largest basket over the three days of each event.

In the above examples, it doesn’t matter where the highest placing Super Cash Pool participants finish in the overall tournament standings. All participating Pro Anglers would additionally win their respective prizes in the Super Cash Pools. A table that describes payouts will be distributed at each tournament and posted on the AIM website (www.aimfishing.com).

Scott Matheson, President and CEO of AIM stated, “At the suggestion of our Pro Angler owners and members, we have created these Cash Pools to increase the excitement and the payouts available at each tournament. AIM is committed to ‘raising the bar’ when it comes to making our events fun and profitable for all our Pro Angler competitors. By participating in the Super Cash Pools a Pro Angler may significantly increase his or her payday!”

He also adds, “Each of these Cash Pools is 100% optional and completely voluntary. Furthermore, 100% of the funds collected will be distributed to the winning participants based on their performance. We are very excited to supplement these three Cash Pools with the bonuses offered by South Dakota Tourism. The pools will be an extra source of income for the winning participants – essentially a tournament within each tournament. AIM will only administer these funds and will not keep a single dollar.”

Participation in the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ Cash Pools will not require advance registration. Pro Anglers can elect to enter at the time of tournament registration.

Also, these Cash Pools are in addition to the award for the biggest fish recorded over the entire tournament. “Me and My Catch” will provide a $500 certificate to the Pro Angler who catches the biggest walleye, valid for a “Me and My Catch” photo replica. This award does not require participation in the Cash Pools.
