AIM® Announced Renewed Partnership “The Judge”.

AIM announced today that Lakeborne Tackle will manufacture a special-edition ruler for use in the Catch-Record-Release™ format in the 2011 AIM Pro Walleye Series tournaments.

Plymouth, WI – April 8, 2011

Lakeborne Tackle is the manufacture of “The Judge” brand of rulers. These rulers have become integral in the exclusive AIM Catch-Record-Release™ format. Catch-Record-Release (CRR) involves taking digital photos of walleyes lying on the Official AIM Judge™ ruler, followed by a “hero shot” of an angler holding the fish. This process takes only a few seconds, after which the walleye is immediately released where it was caught – instead of being transported many miles over many hours in a “livewell”.

Pro Anglers and Co-anglers have embraced the CRR format. The 2010 season of the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ concluded after a total of fourteen days of competition and almost 4,000 walleyes that were caught, photographed, and released. (This number does not include thousands of additional walleyes that were “CRR’ed” but not included in the seven fish daily limit.) On average, 275 walleyes were “weighed” per day.

The Pro Anglers enjoy Catch-Record-Release™ because it eliminates the inevitable “dead fish penalties” that result at the end of a long, hot day on the water. CRR also eliminates any concern over local “slot limits” or “no cull” restrictions. This means the angler who actually catches the most and largest fish wins!

For 2011, Lakeborne Tackle is producing a special-edition, AIM CRR version of The Judge ruler. This ruler will be 35” in length and have a different design of measurement markings to make photo identification easier.

Also new for 2011, a set of these special-edition rulers will be issued for each tournament and will be marked with both the AIM logo and the name of the host location. Each set will have a unique set of serial numbers to confirm their limited-edition status. After the event, the rulers will be offered for sale to the fans and competitors as souvenirs of their experience.

Anglers Insight Marketing, LLC will conduct four Pro-Am walleye tournaments in 2011. These events include the three qualifying tournaments of the AIM Pro Walleye Series and the season-ending AIM International Walleye Championship™. These events pair the AIM Pro Anglers with a different Co-angler for each day of the three-day tournaments.  AIM will also conduct a year-end championship for the top teams from the “Sanctioned Series”. The AIM International Team Championship™ pits the top teams from across the U.S. and Canada against each other in a tournament that also uses the CRR format. The 2011 tournament dates include:
•April 20-22, Winneconne, WI (Wolf River Chain and Lake Winnebago)
•June 2-4, Brimley, MI (Bay Mills Invitational)
•June 22-24, Dubuque, IA (Mississippi River)
•September 15-17, Akaska, SD (AIM International Walleye Championship)
•September 15-16, Akaska, SD (AIM International Team Championship)
