8th annual ‘City Auto Glass Walleye Classic

Saturday, May 18th is the date for the 8th annual ‘City Auto Glass Walleye Classic, presented by American Family Insurance’, to be held on northern Minnesota’s Lake Vermilion out of   Fortune Bay Casino.

Two-angler teams will compete on one of the top walleye lakes in Minnesota for the top guaranteed prize of $10,000! Thousands more in cash and prizes will be awarded, beginning with the angler registration dinner on Friday night, May 17th.

Hockey fans will recognize featured anglers Scott Sandelin from the University of Minnesota Duluth, Dean Blais from the University of Nebraska Omaha, and Tom Serratore from Bemidji State University.

Major sponsors of this year’s tournament include Timbuktu Marine, Range Regional Airport, Marine General Supply, Charter Media/Mediacom, WDIO-TV, ESPN Radio 560, Subway of Hibbing and Eveleth, and Fortune Bay Resort Casino.

The City Auto Glass Walleye Classic is a non-profit event produced by The CAG Foundation. Proceeds are used to fund merit-based college scholarships for area students.
