Thanks to a collective stocking effort conducted by the Lake Superior State University Aquatic Research Laboratory and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Great Lakes State is one of the few places that offer world class sport fishing for Atlantic salmon. Roger Greil, Manager for the LSSU Aquatic Research Laboratory, has enjoyed exceptional success at creating an Atlantic salmon fishery in the St. Mary’s River. In this episode of Fishing 411 Mark and Jake highlight popular trolling tactics for targeting Atlantic salmon as they migrate from Lake Huron to the St. Mary’s River near DeTour, Michigan.
