FOND DU LAC, Wis. (Jan. 22, 2018) – Quicksilver is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the North American Ice Fishing Circuit in 2018. The announcement marks the second consecutive season of sponsorship.

NAIFC tournaments are the cold weather, ice fishing equivalents of big-time bass tournaments held during the warm, open-water months. NAIFC competitors are recognized as the top performers in ice fishing. The tournaments include five to seven three-day qualifying tournaments, which are held in the Midwest and western portions of the country. The 75 two-person qualifying teams move on to compete in the NAIFC Tournament Series Championship Invitational. This year’s tournament will take place Dec. 14-15 at Pinehurst Resort in Naytahwaush, Minnesota.

When competitors face extreme conditions and long hours out on the ice, they need absolute trust in their equipment, including ATVs, UTVs and snowmobiles. Quicksilver provides the peace of mind that comes from using superior all-weather lubricants to help engines start and run in a broad range of conditions. Quicksilver Powersports lubricants are formulated to work in all brands of equipment, in all climates and seasons, and to meet or exceed manufacturers’ requirements.

“We are thrilled to support the NAIFC for another year,” said Eric Reilley, product manager at Quicksilver. “The NAIFC is a perfect way not only to educate competitors about Quicksilver products but also to let competitors put our products to the test. It’s all about having peace of mind while out on the ice, and we know our products are up to the challenge.”

Likewise, the NAIFC welcomes the partnership with Quicksilver.

“We’re excited to have Quicksilver on the frozen water with us for another season,” said Jack Baker, president and tournament director of the NAIFC. “With Quicksilver on board, ice fishermen have all the equipment and materials they need to do their own maintenance.”

The mission of the NAIFC is to advance the sport of ice fishing in North America by providing the highest level of competition, education and promotion.

“Our Friday Night Seminars and Saturday Kids Ice Camps are the ice industry’s leaders in education,” said Baker. “Quicksilver, owned by Mercury Marine, is well-known in the marine industry. Our partnership will help both of us expand the knowledge of ice fishing and the quality and performance of Quicksilver products to outdoor enthusiasts during the winter season.”
