Late Fall Small Mouth

If you fish muskies late in the year you know about the effectiveness of having a sucker rig trailing the boat. When I’m casting weed beds late fall I like to have a bobber out off the back with a walleye sucker on it. You never know what you might catch on it. In this case it was a nice smallie. You want to have a fairly heavy jig and I usually also add a split shot so that it stays close to the set depth when the boat is drifting. Check your local laws regarding drifting vs. casting and running a trolling motor.rnrnBrian W.rnrnWith Bait Rigs Tackle Company, and Rod-N-Bobb’s Inc.
