Welcome to the opening salvo for the BassFIRST.com treatment of the Bassmaster Classic for 2015. Greenville, SC is hosting the event this year and Lake Hartwell is the pond where the anglers will do battle for the big prize and the eventual confetti shower.

So, I get asked by many folks who will win the Classic. The honest answer is, it’s always a toss up. However, it’s always fun throwing out a few names to see if they end up winning.

No significance to the order here, just three anglers.

Brandon Palaniuk (Joel Shangle)

Here goes.

Aaron Martens – The dude was made for chilly weather events. He thrives on this type of challenge. A multiple tournament winner and multiple Angler of the Year title holder. Always dangerous. Plus, he provides some of the best interviews in the biz.

Brandon Palaniuk – It seems as though Palaniuk is always coming to life at the big events. Whether qualifying for the Classic is on the line or winning the big show itself, he’s ready. Plus, he had a consistent season to qualify for Greenville, maybe it’s time to put on a show?

Casey Ashley – The obvious pick. Why? Well duh, he lives in the area and won an FLW Tour event here last season. If betting on the Classic was a thing, he’d be a good choice.
