Speed kills, when it comes to driving your truck on the highway. Repeating this behavior over and over again will only increase your chances for legal problems and potentially a tragic accident. However, according to Lucky Craft pro Skeet Reese, speed and repetition are good things when it comes to late season bass fishing.

“There are two key things that you need to remember when fishing in the fall,” said Reese. “One is speed! The other is repeated presentation.

“The speed triggers a lot fish that are inactive with the water temp being in the 50’s, and the repeated cast at particular object does the same thing. So combining speed and multiple casts at cover will reward you with a lot of fish that get passed up by the average angler.”

Reese suggests using his brand new SKT Revo reel with a Lamiglas SR705R rod. Spool the reel with 15lb Trilene MAXX and you are good to go.

Keep your speedy offerings on the small size to trigger fall bass.

“My favorite bait in the fall is the Lucky Craft SKT Mini series,” said Reese. “I designed this bait for this type of presentation, and let me tell you this bait is BAD A!! So load up on the caffeine, and put it into hyper speed to catch more fall bass.”
