Navionics, the leader in content and location-based services for the recreational boating and outdoor markets, has joined the Texas Team Trail (TXTT) as an official sponsor for the 2015 season. The agreement includes a unique contingency program designed to reward anglers for creating custom sonar logs at each event.

Beginning with the upcoming tournament on Sam Rayburn, the first five teams that prefish and turn in logs on an SD card will receive a free Navionics+ chart, a retail value of $199 each.

“We’re excited to partner with Navionics,” said TXTT Tournament Director Mike Hastings. “They are such a strong addition to our sponsor group and the new contingency program is a great benefit to TXTT anglers. We’re fortunate to have their support and look forward to working together.”

Founded in 1984, Navionics offers the world’s largest database of charts and systems for marine, inland lakes and rivers, and outdoor use. Navionics charts have become synonymous with successful tournament fishing, providing incredibly detailed images to help identify underwater structure and productive fish habitat. Navionics charts are compatible with most leading chartplotter brands, in addition to the popular Boating app, which is available on phone, tablet and PC.

“We strive to deliver products and technologies designed specifically for anglers and to give them the best and most recent data,” said Navionics National Sales Manager Paul Michele. “Working with the TXTT is the perfect platform to showcase our efforts and interact with a key group of consumers. We’re excited about the new partnership and look forward to the upcoming season.”

The tournament circuit, designed exclusively for team competition, will begin the 2015 season January 31 on Sam Rayburn Lake. The schedule includes four qualifying events, plus a year-end championship on Lake Palestine, June 13-14. Registration for the 2015 season is already underway.
