Yesterday might have been a record day for the Bassmaster Elite Series and it didn’t even have anything to do with fish.  As we talked with a handful of pros this morning, all commented about how yesterday might have been the calmest day they’ve ever seen on a Great Lake.

Today, Day Two of competition where the field will be cut from 100 to 50, the wind was definitely on the minds of all the anglers going out this morning.  Those who made the 38-mile run to Little Sturgeon, Riley and Sand Bays faced light winds going out, but will face 7-10 with gusts out of the west when they make their trek back to weigh-in.

As leader Aaron Martens continues his no shave streak, he felt confident going out but was really unsure how things would pan out today.
