Fresh off his 60th place finish at the TroKar Duel on the Delta in Stockton, CA., Elite Pro Jared Lintner and his son J.C.  were on their way to Clear Lake, the next stop on the Elite Series next week when an unexpected accident occurred.

Jared was hit on the side when another driver was texting and not paying attention.  The driver over corrected and t-boned Jared doing 60+ mph, totaling Jared’s rig.

In a BASS article, Lintner was quoted saying, “My trailer was on the side of my truck, and my boat was 12, 15 feet away from the trailer, “Lintner said. “It was gnarly”

Thankfully, Jared and son J.C. were uninjured in the collision.  However, his boat, truck, and all his fishing gear were not so lucky.

Jared said he will be spending much of Sunday trying to find a rig to use for this coming week and organizing the pile of tackle that has accumulated from being spread all over I-5.
