Cristian Simpkins Promoted at St. Croix
Staff and Show Coordinator Will Now Lead Social Media Management

PARK FALLS, WIS. (April 13, 2026) – St. Croix of Park Falls, LTD, parent company to St. Croix Rod, St. Croix Fly, SEVIIN Reels, Rod Geeks, and the St. Croix Factory Store, announce the promotion of Cristian Simpkins to Social Media Coordinator.
A passionate, lifelong angler, Simpkins began his professional career as an Angler Guide in St. Croix’s Guide Center in March of 2021. He excelled in that angler-support role through January of 2023, when he was promoted to Pro Staff Coordinator and Show Coordinator on the St. Croix Marketing Team, positions he still holds today.
“The best part of all my roles here at St. Croix, so far, has been building relationships with individuals who share a similar mindset to myself,” Simpkins says. “Whether it was helping someone with a problem or question on the phone in the Guide Center, working on a content idea with any of our over 300 different Ambassadors on the St. Croix or SEVIIN staff, or working with someone from ASA or another trade- or consumer-show organizer, fishing is just such a great industry. Every job has its challenges, but anglers just seem to be generally happy people. When you share that passion and mindset, I think it’s easier to align, solve problems, and build better ideas on how to do things,” Simpkins continues. “That extends to all my St. Croix teammates here in Park Falls, as well. When you’re not actively working, you’re talking about fishing, which also counts as work!”
Moving forward, Simpkins will maintain his relationships and expand his angler-to-angler communication in the primary role of Social Media Coordinator.
“Cristian has proven himself to be a valuable and versatile member of our Team,” says St. Croix Vice President of Marketing, Jesse Simpkins, Cristian’s direct supervisor (and shirttail relative). “He manages diverse, complex systems and tasks and has a way of making anyone he comes in contact with feel at ease. As the youngest member of our Marketing Team and an incredibly talented angler, he’s also proven that he has what it takes to relate and connect with a large cross-section of our anglers and social-media audiences.”
And connect he has. Since taking over day-to-day social-media posting a year ago, audiences have grown for all St. Croix brands across all platforms. The number of followers on the SEVIIN Reels Instagram page, alone, has grown nearly 300%.
“Our Team saw a critical opportunity to expand our angler demographic in almost every category,” Cristian says. “It’s a team effort to do that, but it comes through careful control of the messaging and more creative content that appeals to a wider range of anglers. Social media continues to grow in importance because every angler is on one form of social media or another. We want to talk with and engage them all. I think we attract new followers because we stay on top of what’s happening in fishing every week and we create quality, timely content that engages anglers on those topics, techniques, and current events. Of course, our brands continue to innovate and make incredible new products that elevate the fishing experience every year, which also provides plenty to talk about.”
