Burns, Grice and Power Join PAA Board of Directors

BENTON, Ky. (June 21, 2012) – Four current members and veterans of the fishing industry have been elected to serve on the Professional Anglers Association Board of Directors.
 
Scott Burns of Texas, Johnny Grice of Texas and Kelly Power of Missouri join the board as the newest board members. Returning for another term on the board is Brian Snowden of Missouri. Snowden has served on the board for three years previously and also has served as Secretary of PAA from 2011-2012.

Along with being a guide on Lake Fork, Burns has fished as a pro for seven years.  This year he is fishing the Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail.  He is associated with the Paralyzed Veterans of America and Fishing for Freedom tournaments and he has a passion for working with those who aim to rehabilitate paralyzed veterans and wounded or seriously disabled soldiers.  Burns brings a degree in communications and years of sales and managerial experience to the board.

Grice is currently fishing the Bassmaster Central Opens and has fished as a pro for 36 years.  He has several ties to the fishing industry through time working as Vice President of Operations at Riverside Lures and through six years serving as a guide on Toledo Bend Reservoir.  Grice has served the past 20 years as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of several large home health companies.  He brings degrees in business management, over 45 years of management experience and leadership experience from his time as a Military Officer to the board.

Currently fishing the Bassmaster Central Opens, Central Pro-Am tournaments and Ozark Mountain Team Trail, Power brings 25 years of experience, fishing at all levels, to the board.  He has run competitive fishing tournaments for 18 years. He has built and sold bass boats to fishermen for the past 23 years as well.  His extensive experience in the fishing industry will make him a great asset to the board.
 
Nominees for the open seats on the board were presented in April to the PAA’s Tour and Legends members for voting. Nominees from the PAA Tour and Legends membership were solicited from PAA members in March.
 
Other current board members include John Crews of Virginia, Kurt Dove of Texas, Charlie Ingram of Tennessee, Mike McClelland of Arkansas, Dave Mansue of Texas and Chad Morgenthaler of Illinois.
