Buck Knives extended an endorsement agreement for an additional three years with Bassmaster Elite Angler Bill Lowen of Brookville, IN. This agreement occurred just prior to the 2016 GEICO Bassmaster Classic.

Lowen recently took 4th place in the GEICO Bassmaster Classic with a total weight of 45.11 lbs. and received a cash payout of $30,000. Over the past 10 years, Bill Lowen’s notable highlights include eight Bassmaster Classic berths, 14 top 10 finishes and over $1 million earned on the Bassmaster Circuit YTD.

Lowen has been influential in the concept and design of the Splizzors, Buck Knives’ versatile fishing tool combining scissors and pliers. Through extensive collaboration, Lowen offered insight into developing this fishing product. The Splizzors, available now in a freshwater and saltwater version, use edge to edge pressure 10X that of normal scissors.

“We take pride in extending this relationship with Bill,” said Bob George, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Buck Knives. “He is dedicated to family and the outdoors and is a great ambassador for the Buck Knives brand. He offers important insight into our products both at the design phase and testing phases.”

Buck first signed with Lowen in 2009. Lowen’s hobbies include hunting waterfowl, deer and turkey hunting.

“With great products and strong family traditions, Buck Knives is the one that keeps me in the woods and on the water,” said Bill Lowen. “To me, Buck is more than just a knife; it’s a way of life.”
