ICAST, the largest fishing tackle trade show in the world, begins July 12th in Orlando, Florida. ProNav™ Marine, an up and comer in the marine electronics category, will be present to show off the latest innovation in hands-free boat control that defines mobile marine electronics.

There’s no disputing the mounting trend in smartphone use by anglers and boaters.
ProNav Marine’s revolutionary new ProNav Angler™ uses a smartphone or tablet to control your boat’s every move so you don’t have to, making it one of the most advanced technologies available for the mobile device marketplace. Designed to let anglers focus on fishing, not fighting to keep their boats on course, the compact device connects to the shaft of your bowmount trolling motor in seconds and allows you to easily control a full suite of navigational functions directly from your smartphone or tablet, without the need for a costly chartplotting sonar unit. Check out the video below to learn more and see the system in action.
Proven during extensive testing in all types of conditions, the ProNav Angler lets you create and modify routes both on and off the water from your mobile device, allowing you to chart and retrace productive courses along prime lies such as weedlines, drop-offs and other structural sweet spots using satellite imagery and other maps. ProNav has partnered with worldwide marine mapping leader Navionics to provide users with the ability to create routes over Navionics charts and send navigational commands directly to their trolling motor.

Routes and other saved points can be securely stored in the ProNav Cloud™, which allows access at any time from the devices of your choice, enabling you to toggle between phones and tablets or even share information with trusted friends. Map data can be cached on your mobile device before you hit the water to ensure seamless off-the-grid operation-the only requirement is Bluetooth as the ProNav Angler uses its internal GPS receiver and does not require a mobile data connection.

Coupling GPS data with the feature-rich ProNav mobile app, the system also lets you lock onto anchor point coordinates and hold the boat in position regardless of wind, waves or current. When it’s time to motor to another hotspot or distant landmark, the Vector™ heading lock keeps your boat tracking in a straight line, automatically correcting for drift caused by the forces of nature.

ProNav Angler will be featured in the 2016 ICAST New Product Showcase in the boating accessories category. Demonstrations will take place at ProNav’s booth, located at West Hall Level 2 Booth #2889. Please visit our booth for a demonstration and see for yourself if the ProNav Angler is worthy of your vote in the New Product Showcase. Voting begins on Tuesday, July 12, at 5:00 p.m. during the New Product Showcase Preview Reception and ends at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13.
