Rebekka is an International Fly Fishing TV host/ Director, photographer, published author, conservationist, accomplished equestrian, martial artist and founding member of the Abel Women Fly Fishing team. She is one of the hosts for the Canadian TV show “The New Fly Fisher”, and an Ambassador to the American Museum of Fly Fishing and Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing along with being CEO/Founder of NorthShore Women’s Fly Fishing Assoc. 

Jimmy Bell, Alumacraft’s Corporate Manager of the A-Team says, “Rebekka is someone that has the heart and passion that is hard to even describe. Her love for the outdoors, family, veterans, youth and fishing will be a great fit with Alumacraft where the company line of Families.Fishing.Forever fits her perfectly.” She will be running Alumacraft’s new Competitor 205 Sport. 

She began fishing with her two brothers at the young age of 8 and started fly fishing in her early teens. Her brother died tragically when she was a young teen. He was her mentor, hero and fishing partner. She decided to continue to fish but switched to fly fishing. It was a style of fishing she had to try and clearly, it was meant to be and has helped heal her heart from losing her sibling.

Today, Rebekka fishes in memory of her beloved brother, fishing with her family as much as she can. Family is of utmost importance to her and fishing is a strong bond between her living brother and
herself. Rebekka’s parents both come from fishing back grounds and her grandmother was an avid fly fisher and tied flies. Fishing and horses are the major foundations in her family tree – and Rebekka will continue the family traditions of both. Rebekka and her dad love to chase after BIG pike on the fly all over the map, especially Northern Ontario.
