Charleston, SC (September 13, 2022) – Huk continues to set the standard in performance fishing gear. By incorporating the latest, greatest technology into each product, Huk’s strategic approach makes life on the water more enjoyable.

Every garment in Huk’s line is thoughtfully and purposefully crafted to maximize time spent outdoors. Each category features exclusive technologies to create a more comfortable and enjoyable experience, from technical fishing shirts and cold-water gear to lifestyle apparel.

For fun in the sun, Huk’s performance apparel incorporates various technologies to provide the best combination of protection and enjoyment on the water.

SUN PROTECTION of +30 UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) or +50 UPF headlines much of Huk’s performance apparel to protect skin from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Huk’s I.C.E TECHNOLOGY (Internal Cooling Element) is a next-to-skin treatment wherein fabrics feel cooler to the touch. These fabrics wick sweat away from the skin and dry more rapidly to create a cooling effect.

COOLING FIBERS work to remove heat from the skin’s surface, helping to dump body heat and keep anglers cooler and more comfortable in extreme heat.

SUPERIOR BREATH-ABILITY is enhanced with synthetic materials that allow air to pass through the garment. They also contain a hydrophobic, or “water-hating,” quality that transports sweat to drier areas away from the skin where it can evaporate more efficiently.

QUICK DRYING fabrics and materials allow Huk’s clothing to quickly dry so anglers can stay comfortable on or off the water.

Huk’s ANTI-MICROBIAL treatment inhibits and kills the growth of odor-causing micro-organisms so anglers can easily transition from the water to the beach bar without ever changing clothes.

STAIN RESISTANCE fabrics are redesigned to keep stains from penetrating deeper into the fabrics, so they are easier to wash out.

Fishing is not always a fair-weather sport. Huk’s outerwear sports numerous technologies that are designed to keep anglers dry and warm on the water.

Huk’s WARMING FIBERS work to retain body heat in less-than-ideal conditions. The materials actively increase the performance of garments without any bulk, creating a warming effect.

Huk combines WIND RESISTANT fabrics and innovative construction to limit the amount of wind that reaches the body. This helps keep an angler’s core warmer without bulky clothing.

Huk’s foul-weather gear works to fight moisture at three levels to make these WATERPROOF-BREATHABLE. First, the outer layer has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish applied to repel water and stop moisture from penetrating the garment. The second layer is a waterproof/breathable membrane that creates an additional barrier to exterior moisture yet is porous enough to allow interior moisture to escape through the material. Finally, the third internal layer is a liner that wicks moisture towards the membrane, where it’s transported away from the body.

A wet body cools much faster than a dry one, so keeping dry is critical to staying warm on cold water. Huk uses materials with hydrophobic or “water-hating” qualities within the fibers to MOISTURE TRANSPORT sweat to drier areas – away from the skin to the garment’s exterior, where it can evaporate more efficiently.

Huk’s footwear rounds out its comprehensive lineup of performance apparel. With select Huk gear, anglers can be covered literally from head to toe with the best technology in the industry.

Huk’s GRIPX / 360 DRAINAGE featured on their boots is a non-slip outsole tread pattern that gives a lock-down grip on wet and slippery surfaces. Each lung is engineered to grab in all directions while the micro-channel openings allow water to escape from any angle.

When water is less of an issue, Huk’s superior grip outsole pattern gives a multi-directional grip where slippery surfaces are not the primary concern. The SLICE pattern has more surface contact, providing long-term durability and proactive traction.

Comfort is always key, so Huk’s uppers use 3D KNITTING technology to form to anglers’ and outdoorsmen’s feet. Each upper is individually knit, ensuring a customized and more accurate fit by size support and stretch when and where needed.
