Enjoy free family summer activities at Bass Pro Shops Family Summer Camp
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Bass Pro Shops Family Summer Camp features free fun games for kids, activities and workshops where families can learn the skills they need to enjoy great outdoor adventures together. It begins Saturday, June 25 and continues through Sunday, July 24 at 76 Bass Pro Shops located across the United States and Canada.
During the Family Summer Camp event, free workshops, which are conducted by store experts, will be held every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday June 25 – July 24. The entire family will enjoy learning the basics of camping, fishing, archery and hunting. Other workshops include hiking and backpacking, outdoor gardening, water safety, backyard adventures and bird watching. All workshops are approximately 20 minutes in length and kids will get a free lanyard and then earn a free, collectible pin for every workshop completed (while supplies last).
Families can participate in the following workshops:
Tuesdays
* Noon – Bird Watching
* 1 p.m. – Fishing
* 2 p.m. – Archery
* 3 p.m. – Hiking and Backpacking
* 4 p.m. – Backyard Adventure: learn about wildlife in your backyard
Thursdays
* Noon – Archery
* 1 p.m. – Outdoor Gardening
* 2 p.m. – Hunting
* 3 p.m. – Water Safety
* 4 p.m. – Camping
Saturdays
* Noon – Fishing
* 1 p.m. – Water Safety
* 2 p.m. – Hunting
* 3 p.m. – Hiking and Backpacking
* 4 p.m. – Bird Watching
Sundays
* Noon – Hunting
* 1 p.m. – Outdoor Gardening
* 2 p.m. – Archery
* 3 p.m. – Camping
* 4 p.m. – Backyard Adventure
In addition, kids can try free craft activities such as planting seeds in a flower pot, coloring a patriotic banner, painting a bear track magnet, assembling a door hanger, and creating a wooden camp photo frame. A different craft activity will be featured each week on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from noon – 2 p.m. (while supplies last).
At the stores, kids can enjoy several free hands-on activities including:
• Casting buckets challenge
• Archery shooting arcade
• Daisy BB gun ranges
• Carousel (not available at all stores)
• Catch and Release Pond* and Souvenir photo** opportunities are available at select stores only, Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3 only, from noon-5 p.m.

*Anchorage, Alaska and Rocky View/Calgary, Alberta stores will offer a casting pond in lieu of the catch and release fishing pond.
