Bass Pro Shops Hometown Festival offers free activities for the whole family
Throwback event features free games, prizes, food samples and big bargains on outdoor gear.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –  Bass Pro Shops throwback event to bid summer goodbye, will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5 and 6 from noon to 5 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops stores across the U.S. and Canada.* Hometown Festival family activities include free games, craft, prizes, face painting, food samples, and the chance to win a vintage Bass Tracker package during the Throwback Sweepstakes.

Bass Pro Shops throwback event to bid summer goodbye, will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5 and 6 from noon to 5 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops stores across the U.S. and Canada.

“You can squeeze the last drop out of summer fun this Labor Day without putting any pressure on your budget by bringing the family to Bass Pro Shops free Labor Day Hometown Festival,” said Katie Mitchell, Bass Pro Shops’ communications manager. “In addition to the free activities, the Hometown Festival also includes great deals on gear for hunting, fishing, camping, outdoor cooking and more.

Free family fun events held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sept. 5 and 6 include:

  *  Ring toss
  *   Casting buckets for aspiring anglers
  *  Duck Pond game: Win a LED flashing pendant necklace
  *  Craft station: Color an outdoor themed backpack
 *   Face painting
 *   Free photo download

No party is complete without food, so Bass Pro Shops is continuing the celebration with the following free food samples on Sept. 5 and 6:

    1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Hot dogs and Flossie’s Funnel Cake samples**
    2 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Dutch oven apple cobbler samples

The Hometown Festival is “throwing it back” with chances to win a retro Bass Tracker vintage boat package. The Throwback car will feature a retro paint scheme and vintage Bass Pro Shops and Tracker Boats logos.
