MN Fishing Challenge Host Al Lindner knows catching fish during a tournament is important.  He also knows that participants in the annual MN Fishing Challenge, June 4, are fishing to save lives.

“This is a fun event; contestants catch fish on Gull Lake near Brainerd while raising funds for people facing alcohol and drug addictions,” Lindner said, “I know we can make a difference for boys, girls, men, women, and their families by raising funds for MN Adult and Teen Challenge.”

The MN Fishing Challenge, presented by Mills Fleet Farm, offers many opportunities for anglers to succeed.  The team entry fee is $100.  Divisions are Lindner Media bass, Navillus walleye, Nor-Son pike, Nor-Son panfish, and Sportech mixed-bag.  Sea Foam recognizes10 teams with their Second Chance award. Bag limits are 3 each: bass, walleye and panfish and 1 pike. Mixed-bag is one of each.

The AquaVu Early Bird prizes for teams entered by April 8 include a Pasha Lake Camp deluxe fishing adventure in Ontario, five AquaVu underwater viewing systems, a fishing trip with Steve Pennaz, host of Lake Commando TV and lodging at Sandy Beach Resort on Gull Lake.

The top 10 teams in each division win great merchandise prizes, including US and Canada resort stays, rods, reels, tackle, trolling motors, ice shelters, guided fishing trips and much more.  Flatline Outdoors will award five Mathews bows (by draw) to students in middle and high school.  Other prizes include fishing trips with Al and Ron Lindner, Walleye Dan, and other top anglers.
