{"id":173132,"date":"2016-06-28T12:39:42","date_gmt":"2016-06-28T12:39:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wpms.outdoorsfirst.com\/walleye\/green-reaper-crew-wins-444-with-new-record\/"},"modified":"2016-06-28T12:39:42","modified_gmt":"2016-06-28T12:39:42","slug":"green-reaper-crew-wins-444-with-new-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.outdoorsfirst.com\/walleye\/green-reaper-crew-wins-444-with-new-record\/","title":{"rendered":"Green Reaper crew wins 444 with new record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href='http:\/\/eriemedia.ca\/green-reaper-crew-wins-444-new-record\/'>Green Reaper crew wins 444 with new record<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"link_description\">\n<p>The crew of the Green Reaper set a new record with a combined total of 75.05 lbs of Walleye in this year\u2019s 24th Annual 444 International Walleye Tournament this past weekend in Port Colborne.<\/p>\n<p>The previous record was a combined weight of 70.62 lbs set by the Meals On Reels Crew in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re just vibrating,\u201d Dave Moody of Lowbanks, the captain of the Green Reaper said after being informed of their win. \u201cIt hasn\u2019t really sunk in yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a fabulous weekend,\u201d he said. \u201cWe got onto some nice fish and we were lucky to get them in the boat. We worked hard and it was a team effort.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His team included his son Brandon Moody, Adam Vokes and Dave Ballantyne. It\u2019s not their first tournament, but, the first time they\u2019ve ended in the big money. The first place team received a cheque for $10,000.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament is run by the Port Colborne and District Conservation Club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had an amazing weekend,\u201d club president Kathy McQuire said. \u201cWe had 98 boats.
