Big Baits = Big Fish<\/strong><\/p>\n

Big things happen when our Suick Lure Company’s Canadian pro staff fish together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nRecently while filming an episode of Setting The Hook, Brent Bochek made the trip to fish the Ottawa River with John Anderson and Lisa Goodier of the Ottawa River Musky Factory.
\nSet to film Monday and Tuesday, John told Brent he should plan on fishing the evening bite on Sunday with one of his super star guides Lisa.<\/p>\n

\nWith cameras rolling, Lisa put Brent on a healthy 44 inch Ottawa River musky only ten minutes into their trip.<\/p>\n

This fish ate a 14″ Frankensuicks on the second pump into the retrieve<\/p>\n

\nA couple more spots and the sun starting to set, the 11″ Curly Sue got eaten a few seconds after hitting the water. This time 43 3\/4″ of pure attitude hit the net.
\n2 real nice fish in four hrs of filming.<\/p>\n

Lisa set the bar high for John and the next two days.
\nThe temperature dropped a few degrees Monday and it only produced a couple of short strikes. A long day when filming.<\/p>\n

\nTuesday met them with changing winds. A PMA (positive musky attitude) was important. Cast after cast produced very little until almost 4pm when a boat side maneuver produce an aggressive strike from a fish in the low 40’s for John on one of his weighted 12″ Thrillers.<\/p>\n

As the hours turned to minutes the trip was quickly coming to a close. But John being John, he still had an ace up his sleeve\u00a0 John told Brent when he arrived, that he wanted to get a musky on film after dark. Well you just can’t make this stuff up.<\/p>\n

\nWith the sun well past the horizon and six hr ride home for Brent there was a bout ten minutes of fishing left when his Frankensuick came to an abrupt stop followed by vicious head shakes.
\nThe camera lights definitely assisted with visibility in the dark as the fish approached boatside. A few dance steps and John slide the net under a very thick and healthy Ottawa River musky that has created a lifetime of memories, not only for its size, but the circumstances surrounding it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
