The body is solid plastic with through wire construction. The replaceable rubber tail is turned onto a heavy-duty, custom-made spring with a centering pin for easy installation. The rear hook hanger is rotated and one barb of the hook is inserted into the tail for better hooking of fish that hit the tail. The bait floats at rest and rises fairly slow. It has a front to back wobble, belly roll and a lot of tail action. It runs about 6 inches deep on a slow retrieve.
