“The Federation Angler group, Bass Pro Shops and Outdoor Team Works are partnering together starting in 2023 to build upon the strong foundation that has been laid already to bring best in class, retail, tournament support, payouts, outdoor media coverage, fisheries conservation and proven tournament operations to the Walleye World. For us as The Federation and in it’s simplest terms to the walleye anglers out there, what this means is, in addition to The Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC) and the Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s National Team Championship, (NTC), The Mercury National Walleye Tournament and our support of hundreds of walleye clubs across the nation. Starting in 2023 the Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s National Walleye Tour (NWT), will be added to the Federation Angler’s growing list of events we will assume operational responsibilities for.” Stated Robert Cartlidge President, of the Federation

“All existing circuits and programs under the Federation Angler umbrella will continue as is and we certainly have no plans to cut back anywhere. Jeff Kelm our MWC Tournament Director will also become the Tournament Director for the NWT and we will focus our more than 50 years of tournament operational expertise toward the National Walleye Tour alongside the NWT ownership group and our long time partners who are working hard in their areas of expertise in a joint effort to elevate walleye fishing and build a platform where the walleye anglers everywhere can showcase their talents to the world. More information will be forthcoming before the end of the year but if anyone has questions or feedback feel free to give us a call at the Federation National Office at 580-765-9031, it would be our honor to hear from you.”
